With Nutritious Baby Food, Make Your Child Hale and Hearty

In the growth of the child, the most important thing that matters is the food that is administered to the baby. Even small quantities of any harmful ingredient can harm the health of the baby and in some cases, even cause irreparable damage. It is always better to give that baby food to the infant that is perfectly healthy and attuned to the laws and components of nature. The most harmful thing for a baby can be any artificial ingredients that are used at the time of growth or cultivation of the baby food.

The products that are fed to the baby should be certified by leading health agencies like NASAA (the National Association of Sustainable Agriculture, Australia), OFC (Organic Food Chain), etc. This means that many stringent guidelines have to be met with for any food to be labelled as safe for the baby. Since the need of the baby is variable and there are many products that have to be fed to him, it is important that care is taken about the baby food. Any cereals that are fed to him like maize, millets, rice, etc should have been grown without the use of any chemical fertilisers, genetically modified seeds or organisms, pesticides etc.

More Stages of Babies’ Food

Once your babies eat rice cereal without difficulty for a couple of weeks, you can introduce baby-food vegetables. Offer one type of vegetable for a few days at a time so you can give each baby a chance to get used to the taste of a new food. This method also allows you to detect the off ending agent if one of them develops an intolerance or allergic reaction to a food item. Possible signs of food intolerance include vomiting, diarrhea, excessive irritability, or development of a rash. Once your babies have tried a variety of vegetables, you can add fruits.

Offer one new food item for a few days before adding another. You can also slowly increase solid-food feedings from one to three times a day over a period of several months. When your babies can sit well alone and can pick up objects between their thumb and forefinger, you can introduce some finger foods. Babies typically reach this milestone anywhere between nine and ten months of age. Finger foods help strengthen your children’s feeding abilities as well as their fine motor skills (finger dexterity and strength).
